A Swing for a Cause: Highlights from Our Golf Fundraising Event at The Grove

Last month, we had the pleasure of hosting an extraordinary golf day at The Grove golf club, sponsored by the generous Masterson Holdings. The event was a resounding success, filled with fun, competition, and a shared commitment to a noble cause. We are thrilled to announce the remarkable outcome of this event and share some highlights with you.

The My Black Dog Charity Golf Day 2024

On May 1st, 2024, we brought you the My Black Dog Charity Golf Day at The Grove. This exclusive event was more than just a day of golf; it was an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting My Black Dog, an online peer-to-peer support service dedicated to those struggling with mental health issues.

What Happened:

  • Valet Parking & Welcome Brunch: The day began with a touch of luxury and a delicious brunch.
  • Personalised Golfing Experience: Participants engaged in exciting competitions like Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive.
  • Live Electric Scoring: Everyone stayed updated with real-time scores, followed by a sumptuous three-course dinner.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Masterson Holdings for their invaluable sponsorship, which played a crucial role in making this event possible. Thanks to their support and the participation of many generous individuals, we raised an incredible £34,815 for My Black Dog. This contribution will significantly aid the charity, which provided over 4,000 support chats in 2023 alone.

Making a Difference Together

The day was not only about playing golf but also about coming together to support those facing mental health challenges. It was a wonderful day, filled with camaraderie and a shared purpose, which passed as smoothly as the greens at The Grove.
